That important last check

Once your book has been laid out, we’ll send you a PDF of the final version. This important stage allows you to make sure that you are totally happy with the way your book looks. One set of author proofs is included with all of our Publishing Packages except the Basic Package.

What our Proofing Service covers:

• Production of PDF of the laid-out book
• Corrections to the layout of the book.
• Colour and image corrections.

If you would like to see what a typical proof looks like you may download a copy to your computer.

What our Proofing Service doesn’t cover:

• Any change to editorial content – our ‘Make Amends’ service is designed to help you with those.
• Amendments or redesigns of your cover once it has been signed off – of course, you can do this but there will be an extra charge for this service.
• Correcting formatting errors that were in your initial manuscript.

Our Make Amends Service is charged as follows:

$75.00/£45.00 per hour with one hour minimum plus cost of proof ($30.00/£15.00).

Hard proofs

A hard proof, where we actually prepare and print a single copy of your book for your approval, costs £30.00/$60.00.
